On Monday, October 7, 2025, the Sheikh Jassim and Hamad Medical Center, affiliated with the Arab Medical Relief Association (AMR), organized the official day for periodic breast cancer screening, targeting residents of Village 2 in Al-Azraq Camp. The event comes as part of the association’s efforts to promote health awareness and empower women to prevent and detect diseases early.

The event opened with a speech by Dr. Bashir Al-Qusayr, Executive Director of the Association, who emphasized the importance of regular check-ups and early detection of breast cancer, noting that raising awareness and promoting health education play a major role in saving many women’s lives.

Ms. Rowaida Abu Shehab, representing the UNHCR, expressed her appreciation for the strong partnership between the UNHCR and the Arab Medical Relief Association, commending the center’s staff for their dedicated service to the local community within the camp.

Mr. Abdul Alim Al-Mazrab, representing the Sheikh Jassim and Hamad Al Thani Association, also praised the center and its distinguished team for providing high-quality medical services, affirming the association’s continued support to strengthen these humanitarian efforts.

The event concluded with an introductory tour of the center’s facilities to learn more about the types of services provided to visitors and patients.
