Under the Patronage of H.E. Dr. Awni Al-Bashir: A National Scientific Day Promoting Awareness and Prevention of Diabetic Foot

On Saturday, 20 December 2025, a specialized scientific day on diabetic foot was held at the Amman Chamber of Commerce auditorium. The event was organized by the Jordanian National Society for Prosthetics and Orthotics (JONSPO) under the patronage of His Excellency Dr. Awni Al-Bashir, President of the Arabian Medical Relief (AMR), and was attended by specialists and stakeholders from the health sector.

The scientific day focused on key themes including awareness, prevention, empowerment, and treatment, highlighting the importance of early screening for diabetic foot, prevention of ulcers, wound management, and reducing amputation rates. These efforts contribute to alleviating the health and humanitarian burdens associated with diabetes complications.

Participants emphasized the importance of integrated efforts among health and scientific institutions and strengthening national partnerships, reflecting positively on the development of healthcare services provided to the community. This aligns with the vision of the Arabian Medical Relief to deliver fair and sustainable healthcare based on prevention before treatment.
