AMMAN – As part of its ongoing global mission to enhance healthcare accessibility, Qatar Charity (QC), in partnership with the Arab Medical Relief (AMR) in Jordan, has successfully concluded its third mobile medical campaign. The initiative focused on providing specialized care for chronic disease patients across remote areas in the southern governorates of the Kingdom.

Comprehensive Field Outreach

The five-day campaign deployed a Mobile Medical Clinic to five key locations, dedicating one full day of service to each of the following areas:

  • Ghor Al-Mazra’a / Al-Ma’moura

  • Wadi Musa / Delagha

  • Mreigha / Al-Qasmiyah

  • Disi Basin / Al-Tuwaysa

  • Wadi Araba / Greigira

The campaign provided an integrated suite of medical services, starting from registration and triage to family medicine consultations and pharmacy services. In addition to monitoring vital signs and evaluating medical histories, the teams utilized diagnostic tests to ensure clinical accuracy and distributed blood pressure monitors to patients in need.

Impact and Outcomes

During this phase, medical teams examined 187 patients, providing tailored therapeutic interventions based on individual assessments. Since its inception, the project has served a total of 250 patients and dispensed over 600 free medical prescriptions.

Mr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Marri, General Supervisor of Qatar Charity’s office in Jordan, emphasized the humanitarian philosophy behind the initiative:

"These projects stem from Qatar Charity’s firm belief that every individual has an inherent right to comprehensive healthcare. Access to basic medical services is not a luxury; it is a fundamental human right."

Dr. Bashir Al-Qasir, Executive Director of AMR, expressed his appreciation for the strategic partnership with Qatar Charity. He noted that this collaboration significantly boosts the association’s ability to reach the most vulnerable communities and deliver high-quality health services to chronic disease patients in Jordan's southern regions.

A Legacy of Partnership

Since 2021, Qatar Charity’s office in Jordan has worked closely with the Jordanian government and civil society organizations. Beyond healthcare, QC’s portfolio includes:

  • Social Welfare: Sponsorship programs for orphans and vulnerable families.

  • Relief Services: Emergency aid for those affected by humanitarian crises.

  • Economic Empowerment: Initiatives designed to foster self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life for those in need.

This project reinforces the commitment of both Qatar Charity and AMR to delivering innovative medical and humanitarian programs that ensure dignity and health for all, particularly for the most marginalized populations in the Kingdom.
